Executive Director of High Performance Tennis
Adam started playing when he was 9 years old. His first reaction to playing tennis was that you get every ball and don’t have to wait or share with anyone. He loved that. Tennis is the only thing he does and has wanted to do for as long as he can remember. Always, from a very young age, he knew he either wanted to be a player or a coach. There were no backup plans, only to be the best in tennis at whichever he was meant to do. Adam started coaching when he was about 20 years old.
Altschuler’s passion for tennis is transmitted in everything he does in and out of the courts. His passion and hard work allowed him to have amazing opportunities on the professional tennis circuit. In 2010, he started coaching Bethanie Mattek-Sands and still does until this day. Bethanie is a 7 times Grand Slam Champion and Gold medalist. Bethanie got to be #1 in the world in doubles and top 30 in singles. Adam has also coached, for various amounts of time, Victoria Azarenka, Lucie Safarova, Christina Mchale, Melanie Oudin.
